She's the date you'll never go on.

You saw her, but you didn’t say hi.
You gave up, didn’t even try.

Just one face,
In an amorphous crowd.
Buried deep down,
Yet, her voice is still loud.

Just hello—not a single smile.
Not even a casual kiss on the cheek.
What once was there, now feels so weak.

She’s the one—
She’s the face.
She’s the only one you see.

And, yet, still you’d let her move on.
Might as well be out in Tuscon.

She’s the channel you won’t throw on.
She’s the glow stick that won’t glow on.
She’s the date you’ll never go on.

She’s the date you’ll never go on.
